Shirley and Tim have been a husband and wife and ministry team since 1980. We met and fell in love at Vennard College.  After graduation, we started our first pastorate at Grace Chapel Evangelical Church in Milwaukee, WI where we served from 1980-1990. During those years, our daughters Aubrey and Elise were born.

We moved to the Twin Cities area in 1990 and planted ChristLife Evangelical Church. During our ten years of ministry at ChristLife, Aubrey and Elise attended Spring Lake Park schools. Shirley became the Office Administrator for Evangelical Church Missions, serving our denomination and also our home church.

In 2000, we became missionaries with Church Resource Ministries (CRM). Tim led a CRM team and worked with a wide variety of leaders, churches and organizations. In addition, Tim's  been a denominational leader with The Evangelical Church and The Wesleyan Church in the areas of church planting, church health and missional ministry. We served with One Mission Society from 2013-2017.  We launched our own nonprofit ministry, Fit and Flourish, in 2018. Over the course of our ministry journey, we've  had the privilege of serving leaders from 75 nations and 75 organizations.

Aubrey met Dylan Does at Vennard College and married him the day she graduated from Vennard on May 6, 2006.  They have two wonderful sons (our grandsons!)–Ian, born in 2007 and Xavier, born in 2010. After seven years pastoring a growing church in Yakima Evangelical Church in Yakima, WA and leading the church to parent another church, they moved back to Dylan's hometown of Marshalltown, Iowa to plant Restore Church. Restore is living out the principles and practices of Tim's "Game Plan" book.  They are blessing their entire community and many people are finding a relationship with Jesus at through Restore, the "church for the rest of us."

Elise graduated from Vennard College in 2008. After workings at a very cool coffee shop in Oskaloosa, IA and leading the youth ministry at our Oskaloosa Evangelical Church, she returned to the Twin Cities to get a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership.  Elise is commissioned in The Evangelical Church for Youth Ministries.  In 2016, she married Tim Morris.  Tim and  Elise are now doing a ministry residency at Riverview Church in Pine River, MN.

Our family loves time together any chance we get! Our fun is amplified by our five dogs spread out across our family.  We claim Kirby as our furry family member.
