Tim grew up in Sleepy Eye, MN. While he was a teen his family helped plant a church. Little did he know how important this would become for his ministry journey.
1980-1990 Tim’s pastoral ministry included a “restart” in urban Milwaukee, WI. During those years the church grew to become a flourishing neighborhood ministry that regularly ministered to twice as many people outside the church as met weekly on Sundays. Along with being the pastor, Tim was the chaplain for Comstock Nursing Home and the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department.
1990-2000 Planted and pastored ChristLife Evangelical Church in suburban Minneapolis. He served as the Director of Evangelism, Church Extension and Youth for the North Central Conference of the Evangelical Church. One of his great joys was being the Youth Director at Bethel Camp, where he became a Christian and was called to preach. He also served as a Lead Coach for the Church Multiplication Training Center (CMTC). Being part of Leighton Ford’s “Arrow Leadership” program was transformational He also began doing international ministry training.
2000-2010 Tim became a missionary with Church Resources Ministries (CRM). He served on the Church Multiplication Team and later led CRM’s “A*C*T*S” (Assessing, Coaching, Teambuilding Strategically) Innovation Team. He served as ChristLife’s “Global Pastor.” Tim served as the Director of Harvest Ministries for his denomination, The Evangelical Church, from 2004-2010.
2011-May 2012 Tim was the Director of Church Health and Multiplication for The Wesleyan Church. He continues ministry as a CRM missionary.
He has taught church planting and leadership internationally in Russia, Belarus, Korea, Japan, Germany and Uganda and Thailand. Tim has trained leaders from over 50 organizations that minister in over 40 countries.
EDUCATIONTim has a BA in Pastoral Ministry and Bible from Vennard College, a Master of Church Management degree from Olivet Nazarene University, graduated from Leighton Ford’s Arrow Leadership Program, and has a Doctor of Ministry degree in Transformational Leadership for Church Multiplication Movements from Baake Graduate University.
WRITING Tim is the author of over 100 dramady sketches used across the country in seeker-sensitive churches originally published by Plastow Publishing.
He has written numerous magazine articles for magazine such as “The Evangelical Challenge” and “Discipleship Journal”.
His books include:

His church planting manual, “Planting New Churches Until the Master Arrives” has been translated into Russian and Japanese.
